Meet Our Team

Dr. Jeffrey Gross, VMD

Dr. Gross grew up in a small farming community in northeastern Pennsylvania called, Sugarloaf. He attended Fordham University in New York City for his Undergraduate studies and then continued on to the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA for his Veterinary studies. He has lived in Colorado Springs and practiced at Brown Veterinary Hospital for 8 years. Dr. Gross recently became the owner of the practice. He was grateful for the time he was able to spend as an associate at this practice while absorbing the knowledge, skill and love of the practice and its clients from the previous owners before taking on the business aspects.

Dr. Nicole McQueen, DVM

Originally from Longmont, Colorado - Dr. McQueen received her B.S. degree in Biology from Colorado State University in 1995 and her DVM degree from the UNiversity of Missouri in 2000. She practiced in the Longmont and Denver area for 6 years before moving with her husband to Eastern North Carolina, where she has lived for the past 6 years. She has two young children, a boy and a girl. She is excited to be coming back to Colorado and all this wonderful state has to offer. She has 4 cats, 1 dog, 2 goats, and a parakeet.

Dr. Kelley Morand, DVM

Dr. Kelly Morand grew up in Alamosa, CO. She recieved her undergraduate degree in 1984 from Adams State College also in Alamosa obtaining a B.S. in Biology. She continued on to get her DVM degree in 1988 from Colorado State University. She has since worked at Great Plains Veterinary Clinic in Hobbs, NM and Fillmore Veterinary Hospital here in the Springs. Dr. Morand also owns After Hours Animal Clinic in Woodland Park, CO where she currently resides with her husband Jean-Marc, 2 girls, Bouncer an Aussie/Border Collie Mix, Alps a Bernese Mountain Dog, their 3 cats Zorro, Molly May, and Victor and a fish named Goober. In her spare time when she is not helping all of those furry friends she likes to spend time with family, read, watch movies, and play the flute.

Dr. Jess Hand, DVM

Dr. Hand grew up in the Colorado Springs/ Manitou Springs area. He completed both a B.S. degree in Zoology, and a DVM degree at Colorado State University, graduating in 2010. Since then, he has worked in Tucson, AZ; Silt, CO; and Pueblo, CO; before finally coming home to the Springs. Dr. Hand lives with one very spoiled Great Pyrenees mix, and in his spare time enjoys Volkswagen restoration, thrift store shopping, reading, and puzzles.
