Dental Care
Dental care has saved the lives of more pets than any other advance
in the field of veterinary medicine in the last 15 years.
Smaller dogs and cats live 15 to 20% longer if they receive dental care as
needed throughout their life. Larger dogs live 10 to 15% longer! Be sure
to ask your veterinarian about regular cleanings you can do at home, and when it
is time to have your pet's teeth professionally cleaned.
Obesity
Obesity is the most common nutritional disease in pets. Although
most owners
don't see their pets as heavy, 44% of household cats and dogs are overweight and
another 16% are likely to become so because of thier age and activity level. To
make sure you are feeding an appropriate amount to your pet, try feeding twice a
day, giving her/him 20 minute intervals. In no time at all, she/he will be
eating healthy amounts.
Just like us, exercise gives our pets energy, assists in maintaining a healthy
weight, keeps muscles and joints flexible, can increase longevity, and above all
makes them feel great!
